Summary
Jason knew how things were supposed to happen.
He'd planned on heading back to Gotham and stir up a storm — tear the city down and build it up again. No one would ever again forget who he was least of all Bruce. Jason was going to carve his name all over the city.
But this was how things did happen.
Talia refused to let him burn out. Not taking no for an answer, she sent him to college and told him to watch over his little brother. She made him promise that he would live, not just fight.
So he found himself taking six classes at Gotham University, pretending like he was just another college freshman. And maybe he could’ve kept on acting, but his class Gothic Poetry and Horror had other plans.
(Or, Jason goes to college. Somehow, this ends up being more stressful than his original plan for revenge)

After Robin got kidnapped, ages ago, for the ploy of a love sick Talia, for proposing to Bruce in their twisted way, she'd come to Dick, desperate, alone, pretending to be broken.
Dick, just fired as Robin, with a replacement lined up, doesn't believe one word she says, until she starts being honest. Until he sees a way to handle his hurt feelings.
Three years later, she's back. Not broken, not quite as desperate, and yet honest, again. Honest how she's afraid of her position as heir to the League, with an actual male heir around. Honest about her wish to get rid of said heir.
Dick has no choice, not really. He has to take Damian in. It's his son, after all.Fic is fully written and will be uploaded chapter by chapter. Upload every Wednesday and Sunday. Which means this will be done... December 31st, if I do daily uploads in the Christmas weeks. The hit resonates above the noise of the city. His head snaps to the side, eyes forced to the cracked concrete below. He can feel the blood beading where her ring has carved into his cheek and it stings under her touch but the vitriolic Arabic that so sharply rolls off her tongue right after cuts so much deeper.

Damian frowns at him. “No?”
“Real tall guy,” the Joker suddenly pipes up from the holding cell, “white streak in his hair. Kinda looks like Bruce Wayne, if you ask me!”
Damian blinks. “Oh. Well, I do know a Jason that fits that description, but his last name is not Todd.”
“What the hell is it then?”
Damian frowns harder. “Al Ghul.”
And just like that, Bruce’s worldview goes to complete and utter shit.

Or: Jason decides that if someone has to be a monster in this world’s shadows, it might as well be him. This decision might’ve been influenced by the fact that Talia al Ghul decided to spring her son on him and also gaslight everyone into believing that Jason is her eldest child. Also, he kills his pseudo-grandfather and kind of accidentally becomes the new R’as al Ghul, because by now, he’s way too deep in Talia’s con-shit to back out.
…It all goes over surprisingly well.

Selina is pregnant with Helena but she don't know that yet, but she will notice that she is more often tired than usual and she often gets sick in the morning and throw up.
She won't tell anyone about her morning sickness but of course Bruce notice, she said she is fine and its probably only something bad she ate. That is until one mission where both Bruce and Selina are fighting villains and Superman and other Justice League members fighting with them. Superman hear a baby's heartbeat inside a Selina because Kryptonians, including Superman, possess a highly developed sense of hearing that can pick up sounds far beyond the normal human range.He immidiately worries and want to tell Batman that Selina should go back to safety and stop fighting but its too late because one of the villains hits Selina and she loses consciousness for few seconds, as she start to wake up slowly again, only then Superman start yelling at Batman to get her out of here and accidentally say she is pregnant which suprise everyone, including both Selina and Bruce.

"You will be safe here." Her hand comes to brush hair out of his face, a sad smile coming to rest on her face.
...
It's 8 in the morning when a baby is discovered on the doorsteps of an adoption center in Gotham. It's the worst possible place he could've ever been put.
But his mother disagrees.
Nobody will ever know that.
OR: In order to protect her baby, Talia Al Ghul fakes his death and drops him off to an adoption center in Gotham.
9 years later, Bruce Wayne picks up a child on the streets during a particularly cold winter.
These two events are not related in any way.

"You have to be strong, habibi" whispers his mother, sliding a hand down his back in a gesture he doesn't know how to receive.
Damian tries not to tense up. He fails.
"Shujaa" she says one last time, laying him back on his bed with unfamiliar tenderness. And when she disappears into the darkness, Damian feels something break inside him.
The next morning, and in the days that follow, his mother is nowhere to be found. No matter how much he waits, no matter how many mistakes he makes on purpose, she never comes back for him.
Or; Instead of Talia take Damien to Bruce, she disappears from the boy's life. Years later, the family he didn't know he had breaks into the league of assassins.

And of course, it starts and ends with Damian dying. Oh, and Jon's there too. Damian blames the start of his unraveling as Jonathan's fault. But, to be fair, its really not as bad as it seems.
