Summary
Nicholas D. Wolfwood does what he can to make sure his hometown, Hopeland, survives for as long as it can in a new world that is built on the shoulders of an old one. This includes being Hopeland's designated delivery driver alongside his brother, Livio, to deliver shipments to the advanced city of JuLai. And the night spent in that hotel, it was the moment in which Vash realized. He was utterly, completely and hopelessly in love. He had never known an attachment so pure, so destructive. And at the center of the incessant need to grow so close, so part of, was Wolfwood. It was his everything that drew Vash into the world of being in love. It destroyed him so utterly, to realize something so unwelcomed. Yet, he still sunk down into that bed and still kissed the other man like he would die the next morning.

“God, you’re so pretty,” Wolfwood sighs. He truly is, criss-crossed with scars, lithe and muscular all at once. It’s a blasphemy that he can even have this, that he can stare. He needs to memorize it, doesn’t know how long he has this, how long he can have Vash in his sight and in his bed, soft and glowing.
“You’re prettier,” Vash offers back, his expression sickly sweet. Wolfwood is but an insect caught in honeyed amber as he looks into Vash’s eyes. He doesn’t know it’d be better to try to escape the trap or let himself sink in, willingly captive and confined.
