Garu had hours of meditation under his belt by the time Saturday morning rolled around, hours of restful sleep and ease of falling into it without fear of her startling him awake as soon as he’d drifted off, hours of leisurely walks through the bamboo forests, hours of uninterrupted sparring with Abyo and Ching... still, the young boy couldn’t find it in himself to truly enjoy his time spent away from his restless lover.
