    Katsuki Bakugo returned to Japan after a 1-year internship in the United States that quickly turned into a 3-year internship, and the guilt of how he left that night still eats at him. When he returned to Japan after a serious accident with his Sensei, he vowed to take his relationships more seriously. When he shocked the hero world by declaring that he would remain unsigned to any agency, effectively "going rogue", he thought he would have more opportunities to distract himself from what was out of his reach.     The mumbling Katsuki always complained about, becomes something he begs for. In rough, scarred hands he holds Izuku’s face and tries very hard to be gentle.

    There’s a dread that nibbles at his gut.

    Izuku has lost something, clearly. Katsuki thinks that maybe, just maybe, if he can get in close enough he can slot back in the missing piece.

    Katsuki clutches the award in his hands, and stares out amongst the mass of eyes watching him. They want one thing, and it’s reassurance.

    Katsuki is not their man.

    “There’s a lot I’m already doing. I don’t need to say it, and I don’t need to wait to be higher in the ranks.” Katsuki answers, strong. This is not his intended answer, and his PR team is going to give him the ass-whooping of his life once he steps off stage. He clears his throat, and promises:

    “I’m reopening the search for Japan’s saviour, Deku. Join me or don’t, I don’t care, but I’m bringing him home.”

    With that, he turns and walks away. There’s a rumbling roar of the crowd that follows him.

    Izuku isn’t going to juvie. They said he’s different – doesn’t matter that he’s killed someone, the police is worried about a quirkless child being around other ‘troubled’ kids.

    Now this Mr. Aizawa is stuck with him until his trial, and Izuku’s completely, a hundred percent certain that the man absolutely hates him.

    Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching from the shadows...

I tried to call you, but you didn’t answer, then half n’ half, and even round cheeks, but none of them knew shit. Then, when you do show up, you’re in fucking crutches and you look like shit, and you just tell me to fuck off?!” He scoffs dumbfoundedly. “So no, I’m not gonna leave until you tell me what the fuck is going on.”

    After graduating UA, Izuku’s life takes a turn for the worse. No one talks to him anymore, and he’s gone broke. Suddenly, the support items he makes start to explode at random, and everyone keeps treating him like he's insane. He's not.But he knows he's in danger.
