There he only directly falls back into the supernatural together with his cousin, her friends, and the two ancient vampires who are stalking her.

''I think I'm going to sleep at my house for a couple of nights.'' Stiles then says, and before Harry or Derek can say anything, he is already apparated away.
''We fucked up, didn't we?'' Derek says with a groan.
''Yes, we did, but maybe he just needs some space at the moment. We'll talk to him in the morning.'' Harry says with conviction.
''Did you really slip him sleeping potions?''
''Just two,'' Harry grumbles. Derek lifts his eyebrows in an 'I'm not impressed' manner.
''Oh, shut up your eyebrows. They're judging.'' Harry grumbles, and he leaves the kitchen.

When Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, he is livid. He didn't bloody want to join a deadly tournament, but it seems like no one believes him, so he swears a wizarding oath.
Now everyone believes him, but he still isn't excused from the tournament. Almost on the point of wanting to give up on his magic, Death interferes because Death's chosen child can't lose his magic.

''This is why you are going to be perfect.'' Death almost croons, making Harry blush. ''If you're going with me to train, you will be back in no time. Time travels differently in my realm.''
Harry nods. He suspected something like that. ''Then I will go with you to train. It is only fair. The others are older and have more experience.''
''Harry, no!'' Dumbledore exclaims, but Harry knows it is too late. Death is already grasping his arm, and then everything turns dark around him.

He at least really didn't see it coming that he would become Master of Death, travel back in time to become someone else, and more importantly to stop Voldemort before he would be lost to the monster.

He then gives a two-finger salute, the sign he has trained with his pack, and before she can react, two shots are heard in the clearing. Blue blood starts spilling out of her mouth before she coughs and falls to her knees. Her eyes are wide and focused on Stiles.
Stiles sits on his haunches in front of her, so he's on eye level with her. "It's pretty stupid that people keep underestimating me. You should've known better-" Lydia screams in the distance, and Stiles knows it's time.

Only Hermione is still the same, and he truly can call her his best friend. He is not surprised that when he mentions his idea for leaving she is right there with him.

Stiles tries not to flinch from his dad's tone, but he fails miserably.
''I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I - I woke up and everything in my room was in flames, even the bed, dad, I - I don't know what is happening.''
As soon as he said it, his dad's face closes off.
''You're telling me that you don't know? You didn't remember? Is it possible that you're - you're poss-''
''NO! No, no! No! It can't be. It just can't.''
''But you don't remember Stiles. You don't know what happened.'' His dad remembers him. His eyes are boring into Stiles's.
Stiles falters because no, he doesn't remember, he doesn't know what is happening, but the Nogitsune is gone, he saw it happening, he knows it's gone. He can't be possessed any more.
''Dad-'' before he can finish his sentence, his dad lets out a weary sigh. And a sob escapes his dad when he looks at the burning house.
''I - I don't know if I can deal with this son.'' His dad confesses. And - and that's it. Stiles stops doing anything for a moment until a sob escapes him, and he can feel his heart break into a million pieces.

Claudia Stilinski was a woman of many secrets. Her one and the biggest secret was that she wasn't human, not even a little bit, not even at all. She has passed half her powers to her son, one of the only that knew about her nature, but one of her other secrets is the one that worries her the most, especially when she dies and Stiles is all by himself, not in the know of one of the biggest dangers. She knows for sure that if his half brothers find out what Stiles is, they will hunt him like they do with all the other creatures of the night.
Because the very not-human Stiles Stilinski is actually a Winchester by blood.
