Riddle peered at him in appraisal, his gaze sweeping from the mess of black curls on his head to the balls of his trainers beneath the hem of his robes. Feeling like an exposed nerve under his perusal, Harry did his best to stand still for the entirety of it. Riddle’s gaze was transient and clinical, but it felt ceaseless in its duration, and despite himself, Harry felt a flush rise from the column of his throat to fan along his cheeks.
