Summary

The accident leaves him vulnerable in more ways than one, but in Dean he finds a humour to match his own, and a patience to soothe his sharp edges.
Just as they begin to test whether they're really ready for the chance they've been given, all of the reasons Castiel had for keeping people at arms length return to haunt them both, forcing them to fight hard for the fragile happiness they found when neither man was looking where they were going.
