“Hey, guys, maybe give him a second, alright?” Eddie said gently, his voice felt like a cool cloth on a feverish forehead, Steve could have easily sighed in relief and relaxed into it.
“A second?” Jonathan said, his voice louder and rougher than Eddie’s, Steve could imagine him gesturing wildly around them just from the way he was speaking. “I don't know if you noticed, Munson, but we’re currently embedded in some freaky flesh-wall-thing.”
“You’re totally right, Byers, I hadn’t noticed that,” Eddie said, slightly sharper but still quiet enough not to cause Steve any pain. “Guess I missed the entire crash, lucky me.”

When Eddie Munson, Dustin's favorite musician and personal hero, takes in interest in his brother, it's kind of a dream come true. Eddie is fun, cool, badass, and completely willing to buy Dustin whatever DnD materials he wants. He's great, but Dustin maybe forgot that it's his brotherly duty to make sure Eddie knows, no matter how cool he is, that Dustin won't hesitate to ruin him if he hurts Steve. He's a little behind the ball, which means this shovel talk will really have to count.
