The demon stopped midway through pushing the drink to Angel. “Alastor?”
“Yeah.” He plucked the drink out of the cat’s hand, careful not to touch him, and took a sip of it. “Ya know him?”
“You could say that. Does he own you?”
Angel scoffed. “No, I would never be stupid enough to give him my soul. We just do business sometimes.”
“I see.” The demon studied him the same way Angel had been studying him moments ago. He held out his hand. “Name's Husk.”
Angel hesitated. He didn't like touching people he didn't know but against his better judgment he shook the demon's hand. When their skin touched he felt a jolt of magic run from him into the cat. It then bounced back into him and it was almost like he could taste the flavor of another demon’s magic. He ignored it, even as he wondered what it was about, but he saw Husk's eyes widen for a split second.
He ignored that too.
OR
Angel's been an overlord for a decade now. So what if he was still paying for the favors he'd traded to get here. He was free now and no one would ever own any part of him again.

Summary
Husk has always had issues with addiction and coffee has become his latest. Unsatisfied with the selection out there he decides he can do Hell one better with his own cafe. Sadly it's not going his way and it's looking like he may have to close it unless he gets help.
Angel Dust needs a job. A legit one. Despite his interview with Husk not going well he ends up with a job as a barista in Husk's cafe.
Thus kicks off a series of shenanigans, comedy, a little angst, and realizing coffee's not always what you need to keep you going.

Summary
Fed up with being dependent on his manipulative boss, Angel heads for the public library to start researching a way out. With his research, however, comes a new fascination with the rather unique librarian who uses unconventional tactics in keeping the peace in his library.
Outside of the library, K. Husker lives a life of self-induced solitude that isolates himself from friends, family and lovers alike. The last thing he needs is a loudmouth flirt barging in and gradually digging up his past to make him reflect on his own life choices.
