Heroes are really the only thing he still had that connected to the outside world and the few memories Izuku had from before he was taken. If anything, his love for heroes was a coping mechanism for all the experiments and pain he had endured over the years.

To survive means to give up his humanity. That is until heroes catch wind of an underground torture chamber and raid it. Izuku learns that his life doesn't have to be a 'kill or be killed' scenario, and he learns that he can live a normal life.
But will the sins of his past prevent him from moving forward? Or will they drag him back to the man who started it all.
