Christ, Morpheus looks at him like he’s staring at a ghost. It almost makes Hob laugh.
“Hello,” Hob croaks. He knows this is the part he usually shakes hands with his model, but he doesn’t move his hand. He doesn’t want to touch Morpheus.

Summary
A man lying with another man is against the law; forbidden by all authority of the law so a man falling in love with another man was certainly out of the question. Reynolds had believed that he would be alone for the rest of his life, taking pride in his work and seeing his good friend on the side was the closest thing he was going to have to happiness in this lifetime. That was until the King brought up the notice of infatuation, hinting on the importance of finding happiness wherever it may be. Could Reynolds really refuse the advice and pardon of the King of England, his best friend and royal compass? Surely not.

Summary

Remus Lupin has more than one secret, and there’s no way of knowing who he can trust. All he has are his parents, but they can’t protect him when he goes off to Hogwarts.
But then Remus meets a boy and his two other friends, and soon realises that some secrets can’t be kept forever.
Canon compliant if you want it to be. Personally, this is more self-indulgent than anything.

However when a prank goes unexpectedly awry, Sirius finds himself shouldered with the task of taking notes for Remus Lupin during his unusually frequent sick days. As the two spend more time together, Sirius realises that Remus might not be as boring as he originally thought.
Non-magic modern Hogwarts AU, where Remus is chronically ill instead of a werewolf. Also has themes of gender, sexuality and nuerodivergence throughout. (Please follow content warnings!)
