Wilbur was tired of being a hero.
He liked to believe that he was a good hero, but being a good hero wasn’t enough. It was never enough. Always compared to his twin brother, the golden child of the Minecraft Hero Family.
Wilbur lived in Techno’s shadow. He hated it so much and he wasn’t sure how much more he could take.
He wanted to be seen for who he was.
He was Wilbur goddamn Minecraft, and he refused to let himself be a side note in someone else’s story.Villains had one right; the right to choose a nemesis.
A thesis to their anti-thesis. A rival.
His subordinates always questioned why he chose Magpie. He never bothered to explain.
He had met the hero once, and that was all it took.
The eldest of the Minecraft children was so much more than anyone realized. There was a deep running fury hidden under his mask. The hero was fast approaching his breaking point.
That, is why Quackity chose him. Wilbur Minecraft was going to fall soon, and he was going to fall hard.
And Quackity would be right there waiting, ready to catch his songbird when he did.Series

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPI!” Tallulah signed, bouncing on her feet before springing towards the bed. Wilbur let out a startled laugh as she collided into him. He rocked to the side and wrapped his arms around her.
In the doorway, Phil sent them an apologetic look. “Sorry, I tried to get them to wait but they were so excited.”
In his hands, a tray was precariously balancing a cup and a small cloche that hid the plate from view. Peeking out behind Phil’s legs was Chayanne, who had slapped one of their hands over his eyes. He awkwardly held out his hands to sign, taking care to keep his eyes glued to the floor.
“You two aren’t kissing, are you?”
Quackity snorted and sat up, pulling Tallulah to sit in his lap. “No, there's no kissing happening. You can look.”

Summary
Wilbur takes a long time realizing his feelings. It's not anything new, it’s not something he’s not aware of. It’s mostly just an inconvenience than it is an actual problem, it doesn’t affect his life that much.
It turns into something bigger when said feelings make themselves known, and they’re directed towards his biggest rival. The one person he’s supposed to hate, the one who hates him back just as much.
Or: Wilbur realizes what he feels for Quackity is much more than envy and rivalry, and tries to do something about it.

“What’s up?” Somewhere in the living room there’s a subtle ruckus, quiet thumps against the floor as happy giggles ring through the air. It’s a comforting sound, it’s why Quackity likes coming here.
“I’m leaving again at the end of the week. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to watch Tallulah in my absence.”

Or, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy are basically chaotic forces of nature, destined from birth to end the world and bring destruction. Most who hear of the tale of them are trying their best to track them down, and to end the monsters while they’re still young, still just children.
Phil has a different plan.
(In which Phil raises the minecraft equivalents of the anti-christ with love and support, so much so to the point where the world ending is really just a funny thought, and Phil has three kids who casually have powers that are bit more extreme than anything else in the world)

‘The shortest day and the longest night of the year’.
Nobody knew why, or how, but magic seemed to grow stronger that day, so magical creatures decided to declare it a festive day. Lighting candles to symbolize the returning of the sun, the hope for a new beginning after the end of the year; decorating living trees outside their homes, with pretty hanging candles and ornaments meant to represent the sun, the moon and the stars. People also liked to make wreaths from winter evergreens like pine, juniper and cedar; they were meant to hang outside people’s doors, since they associated them with protection and prosperity.
Tommy was really excited about all of it.
After all, it was his first Winter Solstice.

Summary
The iris flower is soft on his fur as Tommy slowly wakes up to the daffodil sun. The silky purple flower moves with him as he stretches his little legs and arms outwards. Mouthing gaping open in a yawn, he rubs his eyes and slowly blinks them open.
He shifts his body weight forwards slightly, relaxing as the iris pitches forward, petals gently spilling out on the ground and allowing Tommy to stumble off of it languidly. The grass is dewy underneath his paws, and his nose burrows into the dirt as he sniffs the ground. Right in front of him is a white clover, and his mouth gracefully chomps on it.
Flavor bursts in his mouth, and Tommy can’t be more grateful that the goddess herself has graced him with food this early in the morning.

He can’t help it. All he can do is look at Wilbur and wonder who is talking to him: his best friend and co-star, or Wilbur’s character.
Tommy, nauseatingly, cannot tell the difference.'

Revered by those protected by you; reviled by those in fear of you, sing the voices. They worshipped you like a god and when the time came, they crucified you like one.
“What I’m sayin’ is, if you happen to get yourself into more trouble than you can handle, I would probably not kick you out if you came knockin’ on my window again.”
Tommy’s eyes are saucers: two spiral galaxies brimming with infinite wonder and light.
“For real?” he asks, as suspicious as he is breathless with wonder.
“For real,” Techno echoes dryly back, grinning faintly as he stands. “I’ll come up with a way for you to return the favor.”
~ or, the only thing worse than having to patch up the vigilante that crash-landed through your window at three AM is getting attached to him.
