Ace woke up with three things - (1) his name, (2) a chest wound that should’ve killed him and (3) absolutely no idea how he got there. (Spoiler: Time travel. Also, he died. Oops.)
Now a (confused but oddly chill) Marine Lieutenant Commander, Ace lives by one rule: If you don’t question it, life’s simple.
That is, until he accidentally hijacks a pirate’s boat, mistaking its captain for a harmless fisherman. Turns out, the "fisherman" is Marco the Phoenix, the Whitebeard Pirates’ First Division Commander, Ace’s future… something (if only he remembered) and currently just some annoyingly hot stranger who keeps staring at Ace like he’s a puzzle.
(Or: Time travel erased Ace's memories, but not his terrible life choices. Marco expected many things today. A hot Marine crashing into his life (and boat) wasn't one of them.)

Ace had never wanted to be a marine. He thought they were boring and corrupt and way too uptight. They valued order and submission over freedom and were relentless in their attempts at cleansing those they deemed 'undesirable' from the world. And since Ace was one of those they considered as such, he hated them even more.
And then life somehow got worse and he was told—with no chance to protest—that he was going to join the Marines once he came of age and he would spend his life there. No amount of protesting or arguing could sway his grandfather and while Ace could have probably just told him to go to hell and done what he wanted anyway, he couldn't because the man at the head of it all knew all about Ace's inherited crimes and had told them that should Ace refuse, he would tell the entire world who Ace was and exactly where they could find him.
Or, Ace is a marine and he hates it but he doesn't have a choice. Or does he?

Liu Qingge knows this will be an embarrassing and agonizing month, but he just has to get through it, and then he can go back to avoiding the happy couple. No need to deal with any messy feelings, fraught pasts, or complicated relationships. He's fine. It's fine. Everything is fine.

“What does that have to do with me?” Liǔ Qingge cuts in, Shang Qinghua nearly leaps out of his skin.
Shen Qingqiu chooses that minute to speak up, though he can’t tell if this is better or worse. “Binghe is still a disciple of Qing Jing Peak, so he has a martial family.” He insists with unusual force. “Liǔ Qingge is his Shisu.”
The demon grumbled something under his breath, Shen Qingqiu swats him over the head with his fan and the demon has the audacity to pout, Liǔ Qingge barely noticed however, his thoughts are loud but formless, it feels like blood is rushing in his ears.
Another stretch of heavy charged silence drags on as Liǔ Qingge realizes what Shen Qingqiu is speaking of with dawning horror.
Maybe he does want to die after all.

15 year old Shouto Todoroki has a plan; one he had been working on for the past 6 years. He won't become number one by only using his mother's quirk. He'll become number one by using no quirk at all. Endeavor had kept him isolated enough that no one but his family had ever seen him use it. And Endeavor? Well he had a bit of a reputation in the hero community.
"Endeavor registered you with a half-cold half-hot quirk at the age of four," Aizawa seemed tired. Too tired to even attempt to read anything underlying in his voice.
"Yes. He saw my hair and eyes and believed that would be my quirk and he didn't want to waste time waiting for it to come in to update it," Todoroki was carefully blank, "Unfortunately that quirk never came in. No quirk ever came in. I'm quirkless. I think he just has a hard time accepting that."
There was no way this wasn't going to blow up in his face, but what teenager wasn't a bit reckless?

After the PLW, the League was captured and its members await prosecution. Still, many heroes sustained severe injuries, including Hawks after his fight with Dabi.
Keigo is faced with a painful recovery and severe loss of image. He's punished for his failures at the raid and immediately forced back into training to restore his status and get back into the Commission's good graces. However, he can't seem to shake the fight. He can't forget that face. Those flames. The fear.
Dabi desires vengeance for Hawks' betrayal. After escaping imprisonment, he devises a plan with Shigaraki to take down the HPSC by using Hawks. But when he discovers more about the hero's past, he realises that he and Hawks aren't so different after all. And once he does, can he still use him the way he'd planned?

Keigo remembered being sheltered in his mom’s arms when he was young. It was before she had broken, instead turning to drinks and drugs as a way to escape his father’s wrath.
Keigo remembered how she would run her hands through his hair, talons scratching lightly as she whispered warnings in his ear.
“Don’t trust humans Keigo. They take and take, never trust anyone but your kind. Okay Keigo?”
And he would whisper back, “Okay Mommy.” like he was sharing the biggest secret his three year old mind could comprehend.
His mother would nod, brown hair bobbing, and comb her fingers through his wings gently, straightening out feathers, removing the broken ones before depositing them in his hands. He would clutch them tight, hiding them under his shirt and in his pockets until they could burn them later that night. The burning was another secret that she would whisper in the dead of night.
“Don’t let them have your wings, Keigo. That’s how they control us. Remember-”
He would interrupt, as impatient as ever, “Don’t let them take your wings! I know, I know.”
Laughing like little bells ringing, his mom would chirp softly, kiss his forehead and say, “That’s right songbird.”

Aizawa Shōta had been expecting a lot of things when he was called to the annual hero meeting.
He was expecting Hizashi to be overdramatic, his husband flailing and lamenting how he was so proud that his antisocial partner had come to a meeting that wasn’t mandatory, where he had to talk to people. (nevermind the fact that Hizashi had literally dragged him here against his will).
He expected a red feather to arrive silently, the little red feather waving at him cheerfully before darting off to open a window. Miruko and Hawks would then stumble in through the window a few seconds after it had been opened, wrestling and fighting like the children they were.
What he didn’t expect, was for a group of villains to be idiotic enough to try and attack the meeting.
Really it was just illogical, trying to attack a room full of heroes, and expecting to win.
Maybe they had too much confidence in their quirks (similar to so many heroes these days).
...Or maybe they were just stupid.
(Hawks gets de-aged to 5 years old, and the Pro-heroes have to take care of him)
