Summary
When I started this fanfiction, it was because I had a great love for the game of Skyrim and had read a great many other works myself but wanted to create something I thought I would more thoroughly enjoy as a reader and put the things *I* wanted from a story. During that time, the world was still scarred and recovering from Covid and I was eager and excited at my progress. Never having accomplished what I had before and I had been proud at the time of the work I had done. And in doing so had pushed out much of my work rather swiftly.
Now, five years later, I look back on my work and while I still carry a sense of pride in it, there is much I can see and acknowledge needs changing. Mainly due to my own development as a writer over this time period of enjoying hobbies that have helped me improve.
With that being said. I know I can provide a better story with more realistic portrayals, more in depth development, less laziness and better all, higher quality.
The new and improved rendition of this story can be found as part of the series.

A retelling of DQXI's story based around deepening the motivations of Serenerik and a few other main characters, adding a whole bunch of new ones into the mix, elaborating on the main party's mundane interactions a little, and expanding upon Erdrea—plus integrating some of the more prominent mechanics into the narrative for the fun of it. Original plot events gradually recede into the background for a slice of life romance before becoming something else entirely; and given the revamped lore there'll be disjointed spoilers for the whole game.
