It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

“…Okay.”
One more minute. Only one minute. Nagi needs to engrave this memory into his mind, needs to remember every last detail so he will never forget what it’s like to have Reo’s skin pressed up against his, or the feeling of Reo’s head laying against his, or the way Reo’s back rises and falls with each breath.
Nagi tries to match his breathing to Reo’s, wanting to be entirely in sync with the other boy. For the first time all night, Nagi’s mind is quiet; on the contrary, for likely the millionth time tonight, he thinks about Reo.

“So,” he starts, obviously uncomfortable; he’s still young, hasn’t been doing this job for long. His superiors probably wouldn’t have been fazed by this — or at least they wouldn’t have showed it — but, unfortunately, he hasn’t been in the field long enough to master his expressions and posture.
