Not the sun that warms her face or the sky that streaks red and gold as it sets. Not the wild apostate who’s never been sheltered or caged. Not the half-mad Chantry sister who thinks the Maker Himself speaks to her in visions and symbols. Especially not the almost-templar who’s nothing like a templar, with his wayward golden smiles. The world is bigger and more beautiful than Solona could ever have guessed. But no one ever warned her that beauty is something you can break yourself against.

It's hard to explain that one of my all-time favorite stories is a Marvel crossover with a ridiculous show I stopped watching after two seasons but here we are. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Even then the word seemed to catch in my ear. Now. Maybe once before and perhaps one day soon, but not just yet. On that point I had no illusions.
