Malek went to the surface to be picked up.
Martouf lifted him with gentle hands.
Malek looked to his new host as they approached. While it didn't really matter, he'd be lying if he said he wasn’t curious to what he would soon look like.

When Malek unexpectedly loses his host, he focuses on getting to know the new one. In the process, he sees that what is mundane to him is extraordinary to his new host.
