Summary
Sometime during their unstoppable descent into the realm of the damned, it became apparent to V1 that they are merely a chess piece, moving at the hands of an unseen player; one that is swiftly closing in on the other for a resounding checkmate. At the very end of Hell, Gabriel loses his final match with the machine that unwittingly broke the shackles he had noticed far too late.
Rather than putting an end to his existence, V1 instead takes the opportunity to shatter the board and stop the game.
In the aftermath, both machine and archangel are left standing in the settling dust of the collapsed echelons of creative order. But a scorched earth isn't always the end. Something will eventually grow from the ashes of utter destruction, if given the chance.

It's everywhere. From the foul, sickeningly illuminated elevator shafts to crimson gore squelching on the ground. No mercy with the purest of white halls, or the purest of creatures roaming these planes.
Not that Hell inherits anything pure. Hell is full. Hell is fuel.
Even the agonizing and gurgling screams of sinners and spawn sound red.
When their rotten, mangled corpses finally hit the ground for the last time, they look red.
When the machine’s hands dig through gore to rip flesh like a starving animal to salvage even the smallest drop of fuel, its blue platings turn red.
It’s all red.

Middle school was a terrible place but part of him wished he could've done something more to save him from that sludge villain, he didn't deserve this.. A second too late, All Might didn't come in time, no one helped, everything went blurry as tears fell from his eyes.
Izuku being sent on a mission to stake out an underground laboratory, being informed that there was illegal activity from witnesses reporting strange noises and panicking once everything went quiet all of the sudden.
He didn't expect what was down those stairs, neither was he really expecting anything of the sort, especially with a body like that.Or..
