Summary
Twenty three years ago, Seiji Date was lured to America by an evil sorcerer and his mad scientist accomplice. His friends rescued him, but lost an ally in the process.
It was years ago. It doesn't matter anymore, if it even did in the long run. Then why is he having these strange dreams and fugues?There are multiple tunnels underneath Los Angeles. Most of these have been filled in or blocked up by the city over the past twenty something years, some for reasons more...weirder than others.
They missed one.
Some urban explorers find a hidden lab underneath Little Tokyo, and wake something up. A boy seeking to understand memories that aren't his. A warrior that seeks to deliver someone's last words. To find the answers, they must look to an event that changed the world, and find how that has effected their own lives. A story that ended in blood years ago restarts, as someone moves in the shadows behind them.
This story will be edited and patched over time. Do not expect each chapter to remain exactly the same.

Okay, so for the uninitiated, Code Lyoko was a French animated series from 2003 about a group of kids at a boarding school who discover a secret supercomputer hidden in a nearby factory and their adventures in the virtual world inside. The series ended without answering several questions, which is where the Chronicles novels come in. An alternate continuity with several details different from the animated series, the Chronicles actually answer the unresolved questions of the series, and are rather darker and grittier than the original series.
This is an adaptation of the Chronicles as a theoretical Season Five, and it is very worth the read.

If you haven't read the Animorphs series, I highly suggest doing so. Otherwise you're going to be reading this and going, "Was this kids series REALLY this dark?"
To which I can say... yes. But SoloMoon brings up ways it could have been WORSE. Especially since the target audience was, well, kids and not the nostalgic adults who grew up with it.
