Sequel to Unwanted, But Not Unloved:
The four parents all trusted their kids more than anything, but they didn't trust anyone else—not gods, humans, or ghosts—so they still acquired babysitters for the kids whenever everyone was busy.Typical contenders were Yin Yu or Shi Qingxuan; however, neither could this time, so they had to go outside their norm and requested(demanded) for He Xuan to watch them at Paradise Manor this time, and the kids were excited to meet Baba Cheng's close friend!
Turning, He Xuan saw six pairs of eyes staring at him curiously, and he grimaced before letting his face turn neutral.
"Okay...I'm your caretaker, I guess..., He Xuan. Hopefully, this won't end in the house burning down..."
All of them shared a look before staring at him and slowly narrowing their eyes.
Yeah...yeah, hopefully...

"Wen Ning, I still don't understand why you must go alone..." Wei Ying grumpily prepared his friend for his journey.
"The village is quite far away, and the journey is far from an easy one. I'll be gone awhile, and you guys need to stay and watch over each other and A-Yuan."
They sighed and looked down, "Okay...but what if something happens?! How will we know?!"
"At my top speed, I'll be back in four days, at max a week. If I'm not back in over a week, then and only then can you worry."
After hugging his family goodbye, Wen Ning left his home in the cloud recesses and Caiyi.
Moving at his top speed as promised, Wen Ning was a day into his journey when he heard young screams ring out into the night. He skidded to a stop and changed directions, going for the sounds.
He saw two kids lying there, looking hurt and trembling. Gently, he checked them over the best he could before trying to look around.
Unfortunately, Wen Ning was so focused on the kids that he didn't feel the presence behind him until it was too late, and all too familiar nails were dug into his skull.Series

His chest ached, and his lungs burned.
He didn't want to breathe...
Arms pulled him into a chest, and he saw his friend fighting back tears. "It's too much, Wen Ning...it's getting worse..." The boy knew. He knew well.
Wen Ning, Wen Qionglin, was going to die young and soon. He didn't mind. "It's okay because I can go in peace, honestly saying that I still love you all."
His friend could only weep in despair.

"I-I...I..."
A scream was heard from somewhere in the hall, "SOMEONE'S ABOUT TO JUMP OFF THE ROOF!"
At that moment, something rapidly passed by the window, and they took the fuck off, terrified it was Wen Ning.
And, they realized it was...For as they ran, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan looked out the window and locked eyes with Wen Ning...
