Three weeks into the Papacy, Vincent misses a meeting. It's highly unusual, extremely annoying and deeply concerning.
So, Aldo goes and searches for him.
What follows is the new understanding of an old letter, the reevaluation of past and present relationships and a conversation which might just change everything.

Summary
He took a deep, shaky breath, trying to refocus his eyes. When the blurriness finally faded, he realized the people who had just assaulted him in the middle of the night were still there, standing in front of him, watching him. He jerked instinctively, and the pain surged again, pulling a broken sound from deep within his chest.
Then the realization hit him.
They had tied him to a cross.
A religious fanatic kills a young muslim man in Goffredo Cardinal Tedesco's name, causing an uproar in the media, the Vatican and the Christian community. A group of young religious activists decides to take revenge and teach the Patriarch a lesson in humility— a series of events which will ultimately force the cardinal to reconsider everything he thought he knew about his faith.

Summary
[edit 6/18/23: Animation added to chapter 22] A sci-fi space fic where Greg is a spaceship, and Alex is an escaped, drug-chemist, slave. They have a bad time, finding comfort in each other.
After decades of indentured servitude on Al Murray’s private moon, Alex has made a break for it – scrambling through a junkyard in a desperate bid for freedom. He’s terrified, bleeding, and fears a laser blast in his back at any moment, but he would never in a million years expect to literally stumble upon a half-junked spaceship from the war in need of a name, a purpose, and most of all, a friend.
He reaches out his hand, and carefully wipes away years and years of dust from the cold metal surface – feeling the engraving rippling on his fingertips. The plaque reads “Geran Republic 3Ө, Stellar Monitor Warship” There’s a date too – which seems to be the commission date – forty-three years ago.

Summary
Alex was grateful, of course, that even given everything, they still got to make this silly little show. Especially considering that it was a miracle they had pulled it all together at all with COVID filming restrictions.
But that didn’t mean there weren’t some things that Alex missed.
Like the studio audience, of course.
But what he missed, most unexpectedly, were Greg's cards.

Summary
Greg and Alex just had a really fantastic interview with Seth Meyers for his Late Show in New York, and - barring a quick stage-door encounter with some excitable and generous fans - are eager to get back to their hotel rooms and get some rest.
They climb into the Escalade. It pulls away and turns the corner, going right, and then everything goes dangerously, terrifyingly wrong.
Written for Schlocktober and SchlockTMtober, using all three of the prompts for day 25: Actual Handcuffs, 96ing, and Sex as a Sedative.

Summary
A battered and broken England has one hope left in the endless, brutal, battle against the Kaiju. When titanic monsters burst from the rift on the Atlantic Ocean's floor, destroying and murdering everything in their path, one desperate plea echoes from the bunkers and it is to the brave people of the Two Thrones Shatterdome. Save us, they beg. Save us from extinction. When the sky darkens, the earth shakes, and the mighty, mechanised Jaegers of Two Thrones stride the earth, all who see them pray for their pilots, for victory, for living one more day.
Their prayers will not be answered.
Legendary ex-pilot Commander Greg Davies has been transferred to the Two Thrones Shatterdome as the new drillmaster, and finds a base on the brink of utter defeat. It would take more than a miracle - more than a broken man haunted by his past, a ragtag band of resentful pilots, and more than the secretive scientist who just won't leave Greg alone.
WARNING! I have NOT finished writing this yet. Unheard of for me. My plan is to release a chapter per week, but I've been struggling to make progress on this and I hope the deadline will put a Jaeger boot up my arse. Please harass me.

The skittish, prickly, suspiciously bland half-Vulcan is a mystery to him, but when a spatial anomaly that defies their instruments ensnares the ship - Greg - in a trap they cannot survive, Greg will need to explore all frontiers.
Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Pinewood.
It's mission; The anomaly. To wake up over and over the same day.
