Summary
The strings have been cut but Daken can still feel the tug of them on his soul. The shadow of it all, of everything that has been done to him lingers. Time does not stop simply because one has rounded a corner. Daken will have to face the fear of being controlled again. All the while Bobby Drake is struggling with himself. The act of Coming Out is not the end of a journey but the start. For Bobby it feels as though many of his closest friends stopped understanding him as soon as he no longer pretended to be something he is not. Fate has brought these two souls into each others orbit. What will the outcome be?

Summary
Hank McCoy hasn't been himself in a long time. In his struggle with his appearance, Hank McCoy damaged his own genetic code, and is now suffering from a degenerative process which even he cannot manage to cure. The prognosis seems grim, but there is hope.

Daken is but a child when he learns to live by that concept. It’s carved into him by sharp claws and whispered lies. It becomes all that he believes in without a single doubt left in his mind. If he wants something, if he needs something, he will have to pay the price for it.
The only other thing that he trusts is that life for him began in blood and that it will end in blood. The single question that is left is whether or not he will still have a soul left at the end of it all. Or if the noise in his head, the hands around his throat and the claws ripping into him have stolen everything that made him human.
