He plugged himself into the system and initiated the scan to make sure he could take it, and the entire world spun around him. Starscream yelped, grabbing for the console to catch himself, his claw tips clattering across the metal, and he hit the floor in an uncontrolled drop jarring all of his joints. His processor whirled, frantic with what could have happened, trying to access the Harbinger's systems but all that was coming up was errors. Something on the console flashed, and he could see the dim reflection on the ceiling of remote access being enabled and a program running.
The greying frame on the floor next to him lit up, the tracking device visible in the hole where he'd ripped out the T-cog. His first sense of alarm was eclipsed by the greater, spark-deep fear of recognition. It was one of Soundwave's.

“Yes,” said Optimus, pleased that Hot Rod had not only paid attention, but remembered. It would be good for one of the new crew to be on human duty, to help get them all acclimated with their allies—it might even keep him off the punishment roster for more than a week. “I’ll make sure you’re ARK-side when they come by, they’re very excited to meet ‘the new guys’.”
Sometimes it could be easy to facilitate new friendships. It was nice to be reminded of that.

The Avengers get a new team member, though they don't immediately realise it. Thundercracker gets a new team, but it's going to take a serious adjustment period.
An Avengers focused crossover AU for IDW Transformers Gen1 that started as a love letter to MCU Avengers 2012 and rapidly devolved into something closer to Earth's Mightiest Heroes in vibes and continuity. Pulls extra characters and plot points from Transformers G1 and Marvel 616. Arc 1 complete, Arc 2 in progress.
