Summary
“Well,” L whispers, his tone challenging yet playful, “If you really think you’re better than me… Prove it, Kira.”
And L ends his stream right there.
Light Yagami does not believe in coincidences.
So when his anonymous online rival, L—the only person who has ever challenged him and lived up to it—turns out to be his new roommate, Light does not panic.
He strategizes.
There are no Death Note, gods, or rules here. Instead, mainstream streamers Kira and L beef on Twitch during the day, share an apartment at night, and have late-night discussions about justice and crime at midnight; all while circling each other over and over again, unable to decide whether to destroy or understand one another.
This was supposed to be a game. It stops being one when L dedicates his undergraduate thesis to Light.
Or: L and Kira are mainstream Twitch streamers who have beef with each other. They're also roommates.

Summary
“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

Summary
“Alright,” he says with a nonchalant shrug. Then, he turns and looks Will dead in the eye. “So, should we talk about your love life then?”
Will’s eyes widen, and once again, the warmth spreads across his cheeks. “W-what?” he stammers, fighting the urge to look over at Mike.
The smirk on Murray’s face only grows, and instead of answering Will’s question, he turns to look at Mike. “Or maybe your love life, Wheeler?” he ponders. “Or I’ve got a better idea… we can kill two birds with one stone and talk about both of you at once!”
Or:
The one in which Murray finally has a chat with Will and Mike.

Summary
Will knows what having a crush looks like. He’s known it for years.
And lately, he's been seeing the signs on the face of one Mike Wheeler every time he looks at him. Maybe it’s always been there, but not to this degree.
In the last six months, though, the planets had aligned in some strange pattern, or the earth had been tilted on its axis by the hand of God, or something, because Will noticed it pretty quickly.
So, Will's finally decided to start testing the waters. For example: he has been flirting.
Well, okay…
