Summary
Fresh from his date with Makima, Denji finds himself torn. On one hand, his life has improved more than he could have ever imagined: Aki is beginning to warm up to him, Power hasn't tried to kill him this week, and working under Makima was like a dream come true! However, despite all of this, he still finds himself plagued by doubts. Does he have a heart? Can he love anyone? Could anyone love him?
It was just meant to be another mission for Reze, a simple undercover operation to ensnare and capture the Public Safety rookie with a devil for a heart. Summary
After Makima's defeat, Denji tries to lead the normal life he has always dreamed of with his bratty little sister, Nayuta, by his side. However, when he isn't being a stool for the girls in his class or the self-proclaimed hero named Chainsaw Man, this emptiness inside his heart digs deeper. So, he thinks nothing of Yoshida Hirofumi's invitation to go to a mixer. However, rather than getting a date, he finds the ghost of a certain girl in this new person he meets named Jane Doe who doesn't recognize him at all.
Amidst the conflicting emotion and his mundane life, Denji weighs the past and present in his already cluttered brain.

Still bearing the scars from her time with the Soviet Union, Reze tries her hardest to get used to begrudgingly working as a devil hunter for a wounded Public Safety desperate for personnel while also figuring out what the hell she was supposed to do when tossed into general society out of ‘good behavior’ as if she wasn’t one of the worst monsters on payroll.
They meet again, somewhere in the middle.
