Summary
Jayce is a newcomer to the hunters' group, an organization that operates in the shadows dedicated to the hunting and extermination of supernatural creatures. There, he meets Viktor, an advanced recruit whose skill in devising strategies and tracking these beasts to their darkest hideouts is admirable. However, his body is slim and frail, ill-suited for hand-to-hand combat.
A deep and sincere bond forms between Jayce and Viktor. But, after Jayce is wounded in battle, Viktor sets out on a solo hunt to seek vengeance for his partner, from which he never returns.
Time passes, and Jayce becomes an accomplished hunter, but the memory of his lost companion haunts him, unaware that fate plans to bring them back together, though not in the way he would wish.
