“Oh.” She said.
“I know that... I know that we haven’t really talked about it but...” Adora licked her lips. “I love you. And I want to do this with you... if you want to.”
Want to? Catra couldn’t remember a time when she didn’t want Adora. When she didn’t yearn to feel her warmth, ache for her smile, burn for her touch. And it wasn’t like Catra hadn’t thought about sex... especially in regards to Adora. In the past few months they had often kissed and groped over clothes (and sometimes under) until Catra could smell the arousal between her girlfriend’s thighs... (she could smell it now) but they never went further. One of them always slowed it down until they blushed and claimed to be too tired to continue.
Catra ran her fingers through Adora’s golden hair. It was so soft, thanks to the extravagant soaps they were given here. Catra remembered the stale smell of the soap they’d used as cadets and how it always made Adora’s hair coarse and stiff. She’d run her fingers through it back then too.
“Well I can’t wait to see Sparkles’ face when you tell her why we’re late,” Catra snorted, praying to the ghost of Shadow Fucking Weaver that Adora wouldn’t hear the tremble in her voice.

As the two girlfriends lay holding each other in the grass of the Whispering Woods, Glimmer could not help but smile.
Yes, she would need to cuff Catra again before going into the palace. Yes, she would need to lock her up in the spare room. And yes, there would have to be a trial in which she could not guarantee the outcome. But, regardless of Glimmer's personal feelings about Catra, there was no doubt that it was all worth it just so she could have this moment with Adora.

Catra almost dies saving Etheria from Horde Prime. She manages to blow up all his bots and ships, killing both Hordak and Shadow Weaver. After barely escaping to the Fright Zone, Adora successfully transforms into She-Ra and saves her. They kiss and all is well. Except it isn't. Etheria is a mess because of all the shrapnel from the explosions, and everyone seems bent on punishing Catra for her crimes.

Summary
This fic picks up months after the series finale: After saving the universe, the Best Friend Squad brings Catra back with them to Bright Moon. With their hard won happy ending in the rearview mirror, Catra and Adora have to adjust to...just living life. You'd think professing your love in the face of an intergalactic threat would be enough to get the girl, but it turns out the Horde didn't really prepare either of them to handle relationships. The Horde didn't really prepare them for much of anything normal.
More than that, the Horde never gave Catra any answers. Who is she, really? Where did she come from? What should she do now that the Horde is gone?
Hopefully her friends can help her discover some answers. Sleepovers, Scorpia Hugs, prom nights, a therapy cat, and some research might be just what this cat needs to find her purpose. Then, maybe, what she has with Adora might make a little more sense.

A thick silence follows as Glimmer struggles to take in this information.
The savior of the universe. Fell asleep standing. Then tumbled through a building.
Glimmer was not trained for this.
Catra begins uncontrollably laughing. Just joyful full-body squeaky laughs that she doesn't even attempt to hide. It seems to actually wake Adora out of her stupor a bit, blushing and staring fondly at Catra as if no one else can see her doing so.
Slowly, the queen looks to Adora and then to Catra. They immediately straighten right up, used to being under the scrutiny of a commanding officer.
“Both of you. Throne room. In two hours.”
Glimmer's so so tired of Catra and Adora. The infuriating (yet helpful) decrees, the tireless overworking, the general uselessness and hopeless pining that seems to have followed them since the Heart of Etheria a couple months ago, the destroying her castle. With Netossa and Spinnerella, she decides to solve all this by sending them off on a secret mission. They just have to infiltrate a cult of Plumerian citizens and find out some info. And if they stumble into a journey of discoveries along the way, well, that’s their own fucking problem.
