Summary
Two months after the strike, Jack Kelly abruptly packs everything he owns and purchases a one way ticket to Santa Fe. As he leaves, he tells his boys to wait for his letters, promises to write by January. By the end of March, there's still no word from him, and most of the Newsies are convinced he's dead.
Crutchie Morris, on the other hand, has never been so furious in his life. At Jack for abandoning them, at the boys for thinking he's dead, and at himself, for not going with him. So, when Racetrack Higgins comes to him with a pocketful of winnings and an offer to head west and find his brother, he accepts. They set out for Santa Fe, and Crutchie is determined to kick Jack's (100% alive) ass into next week.

Eddie's staring, and Steve sees how his hand is searching the seat behind himself for the remote, probably to kill the movie, because Steve's being so weird it's making him worried.
He sighs again, breath trembling from stress and he buries his face in his hands. Leg still bouncing in place.
The TV gets turned off and the room fills with silence, and he hears Eddie shuffling around next to him.

Sam grits his teeth and grips the arms of his lounge chair. “I’m so horny about it, oh my god.”
Bucky is finally ready to make amends with himself, and specifically his body, but he might need to enlist some help. If that help involves kind of, sort of tricking an overworked Sam into doing some self-care and having some fun of his own, so much the better. Sam, meanwhile, is happy to help, it's just that helping Bucky is turning out to have the inconvenient side effect of falling for him too.
