Stiles dialed the three numbers with shaking hands. He had to re-enter the number four times before his trembling fingers could connect the call. Then he waited for the line to pick up, which only took two rings, but it was an eternity to Stiles. Please help me, he begged.
“911, what is your emergency,” a calm male voice answered.
“I’d like to order a pizza,” Stiles said, clearing his throat to get the words past his stiff tongue, the motion causing his bruised throat to throb faintly.
“You called 911 to order a pizza?” the man asked, at once irritated and confused. -

Derek is actually having a fairly decent day. The experience is new enough since his return to Beacon Hills that he’s actually considering buying a calendar just to mark it down. Erica and Boyd returned to him after a brief stint with the alpha pack, slightly battered and with a warning to keep Beacon Hills safe. Okay, so Erica actually returned to Stiles and Boyd followed her, and it was Stiles who brought them back to Derek.
Actually, biting Stiles was probably one of the reasons his day was going so well, since the teen had gone the extra mile and brought everyone donuts for breakfast before the training had started. Everything is going as well as can be expected up until Derek hears Peter inhale sharply.
“He has blue eyes,” Peter says softly.
Derek doubts any of his older betas understand what blue eyes mean on a werewolf since there is no outright reaction from any of them; from the way Stiles blanches and takes an automatic step backward he must. His heartbeat skyrockets and Derek knows that this isn’t going to end well.

Jackson would normally question why, he has a hundred questions running around his skull but instead of asking any of them he nods dumbly and lifts Stiles bridal style. Jackson nearly stumbles as that long tail curls up around his back but catches himself and hurries Stiles into the pool house before anyone can come looking.
