Through it all, Quackity can’t read Tubbo’s expression. Which is a way to read Tubbo itself, because here’s the thing – Tubbo misleads. He does it, subtly, in the way that makes you think you’re following, that you’ve caught what he’s covering up, but that’s the part he does on purpose. He leaves you a crumb, and you latch onto it, eat it up, and he acts like you’ve caught him. And Quackity watches Tubbo laugh, watches him crack a joke with Wilbur, and he knows better than to think he’s caught anything about Tubbo.
It’s what makes Tubbo such a good leader. It’s what makes him a good spy.
It’s what makes Quackity know that neither of them have left Manberg. Not all the way.

‘It isn’t a big deal’ It was like those words attached themself to his brain the second they broke the air. It was a big deal. At least it was to Tommy.
Phil didn’t know that though, his youngest son just pulled away from the contact, Tommy’s mind was fast, too fast, a million thoughts came to mind dripped with betrayal. Sadness? Confusion? Meanwhile, another part wanted to disappear into his imaginary museum of forgotten ideas.
He left the house with the door slamming shut, leaving the other in a now-stained kitchen.
It wasn’t fair. His brothers had left so easily, ripping their family further apart with it, and decidedly coming back in the middle of the school year wasn’t normal, at least wait for him to get out of here, out of the house, out of town, out of the country.
Ever since his brothers left for college Tommy has been alone, after throwing himself into art his life is nothing but meaningful until his brothers come back.

Tubbo, barely eighteen years old and on his own for the first time, is excited to make his way through Heroes' Association training and become a full-fledged superhero to protect civilians from the Syndicate or any other superpowered crime. The Association isn't at all how it seems from the outside, though, and after a series of crises and catastrophes Tubbo finds himself alone again, just trying to keep his head above water and figure out who he is under all the layers of secrets.
Oh, also, he's somehow managed to make friends with every supervillain in the city. So that's great.

Ranboo always dreamed of getting married, he told Tubbo this after they left the courthouse, papers held in his fidgeting hands with gold metal glinting in the sunlight. He looked beautiful in front of the sunset, purples and oranges washing over him with delicate strokes. Like a painting, a painting that Tubbo gets to keep and cherish, and oh, his eyes sparkle in the right lighting.
Something small, with only family and friends, Ranboo explained. I would wear a white dress with a long veil. Maybe lace and flowers, with a blue and purple bouquet. It would be in a field of flowers, bright colors and a bright day to symbolize a joyous new start. It's a bit silly though, isn't it?
Maybe one day, he remembers teasing Ranboo, you’ll still get that wedding.
It sounded perfect, he thought. It still does.
