“You've got the hair and eyes. Wouldn’t even have to wear that awful wig.” Andrew conveniently glossed over the cartoonish fake scars on the model’s face. After a long moment, he turned to face Neil properly. “I can be Tiffany,” Andrew suggested, tone too measured for it to be a throwaway.
Neil had no idea who that was. The main protagonist maybe, who saved the world from the doll's crimes? But Neil couldn’t remember there being any Tiffanys in the movie they watched. He wracked his brain for what else Andrew could be referencing. “Like Tiffany’s Breakfast?” Neil tried, unsure.
“Tiffany Valentine,” Andrew explained, not quite meeting his eyes, and then, “Chucky's bride.”

The team’s press secretary looks murderous in the green room. Natalie Klein is normally a very professional, calm woman but now she’s gripping her iPad like she’s trying to crush it with her bare hands. Kevin and Neil walk past her without so much as a second look and Jeremy sees her rushing after them.
“Goddammit,” Jeremy mutters under his breath and jogs to catch up with them. “Hey, Natalie,” he calls after her. Thankfully, she stops and turns to face him as Kevin and Neil disappear down the corridor. “Incredible job with the press conference, thank you,” Jeremy says with a winning smile. “It wasn’t smooth sailing but I do have a favour to ask you.”OR - Jeremy is the captain of the US Court as they head to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. Enter Neil, who cannot be media trained to save his life and loves being an instigator. Understandably, Jeremy is a little out of his depth.

The thing is, despite Andrew’s commitment to apathy and to denying that he cares about anything, he is often self-sacrificing in his efforts to protect the people he cares about. As Aaron’s trial approaches, Neil gets the sick feeling that Andrew’s self-sacrificing streak is going too far.

"Andrew is used to long, assessing stares from those who want to fix him. Most people express concern for him only because they don’t want to deal with the mess he might make of himself. But Neil’s look is different. Neil is looking at him like Andrew is something he’s afraid to lose.
It would be impossible to comprehend, except the look in his eyes is familiar- the mirror image of what Andrew felt back in the spring, when Neil slipped through Andrew’s grasp like smoke. Back then, Andrew couldn’t express what he felt with words or soft kisses or tender eyes. It looked like his fingers wrapped around Kevin’s throat, his hand clasped on the back of Neil’s neck, plastic bags clumsily taped around his limbs. But now, in Neil’s eyes, he recognizes the same repetitive heartbeat underneath it all. Don’t go, don’t go, don’t go."
The fall after the conclusion of the series, Andrew hits a wall. He and Neil (with an assist from Bee) work through it together.

He sounds unflappable once more; the minute tightening of his fingers on Neil’s nape is the one thing that betrays him. “They only let me in to see you today, and that was because Coach wouldn’t stop arguing with the doctors and they finally got sick of listening to him.”
“Three days?!” Neil yelps, and Andrew pulls back from him to glare, though he keeps his hand clasped at Neil’s nape. Now that he’s looking properly, he can see the dark bags under Andrew’s eyes, the tufts of hair sticking up that speak more to hands tugging through it than sleep, the rumpled state of the clothes Andrew had packed for after—“Wait, the game!”
“I will smother you here and now,” Andrew threatens.

Summary
Andrew had always been a protector. And yet, prior to Neil, no one had ever repaid him in kind. No one had ever gone to such lengths to guarantee Andrew his own safety. But Neil would kill for him - had killed for him. He recognized Andrew's love language of promises, of violence, of desperation, and returned it with a wild abandon that Andrew had never expected from another living person. It left him, rather embarrassingly, weak in the knees.
(Everyone thought Andrew and Neil were humanizing one another, teaching the other how to love. But love, for Andrew and Neil, is not a simple, gentle thing).

This is the story of Neil and Andrew post “The King’s Men” and spans 12 years. It’s about their sexual journey – every baby steps, missteps, and gigantic leaps. It is also (and perhaps more importantly) the journey of how they stay committed throughout it all, made visible in the little things, and bigger, grander gestures. Most of this is a mix of canonical facts and my own take on their future.

This is a modern setting AU of the characters of Baldur's Gate 3 where they're friends and get together to play D&D.
It's mostly my ideas about how I think their lives could be in a modern setting and their relationships and hardships and how this is related to their D&D characters (Or their BG3 original characters). There will be drinking, drug use, some minor references to sexual abuse and/or abuse of a minor, racism, religion/cult as abuse and others. I will approach these topics the best I can and I will keep updating the tags if needed, I will also put warnings in each chapter at the beginning.
There will be a lot of chapters with different lengths, it's mostly a collection of stories of their daily lives, so please keep that into consideration.
English is not my first language so I may have some mistakes, I'm so sorry beforehand.

One illithid abduction later, and he's walking in the sun with a sorceress and her band of infected misfits, away from Baldur's Gate and two centuries of pain. It was the rarest of opportunities, and he fully intended to use his skills to wrap Tav around his finger to protect himself. To survive while the world came apart at the tadpole-infected seams.
It was in the calm moments, the quiet of the camp, that Astarion began to grasp what exactly it meant when someone unselfishly cared for him. Tav didn't just want him to touch her and tell her sweet things. She wanted him to be free, be whole, be healed- and she would shed blood and magic to those ends.
It feels like hopeful dream- until their centuries of life before one another collide with their present, stringing along a cast of monsters, devils, and traitors who would turn it all into a nightmare.
