Summary
There was a figure hunched over the desk, leaning over the console. He blinked. They wore the same green jacket as any other Fazbear technician. The hat on their head was the same as his. He brought a hand up to rub his eyes, but the scene in front of him didn’t change.
Were he slightly less exhausted, Arnold might (and that is a very strong might) be suspicious of the clearly way-too-sentient endoskeleton wearing a Fazbear technician uniform.
“I don’t really want to be here either,” he says, “So let’s.. get it over with and go home?”
Alternatively, M2 tries out a new costume. It goes surprisingly well.

The side of the crate bursts into splinters as M2 crashes through it. He slowly cocks his head to the side, staring ominously at Arnold. The orange hue of his eyes shines in the dim space.
Arnold stares back.
M2 waits, slowly twists his body to face the man.

Arnold shuffles around him. He tucks the unwieldy cutout beneath his arm.
(...Isn’t this the part where they run?)
Alternatively, Arnold heard "retrieve our property" and nothing else.

When Soap is abducted by Konni during the mission in Siberia and replaced by someone who looks and speaks just like him, he's left without hope of rescue, at the mercy of Makarov's sick plans. After all, the 141 doesn't know it wasn't Soap with them in the Chunnel that fateful day.
Years later, a showdown between Ghost and Makarov's pet—a seemingly inhuman soldier and perpetual thorn in the 141's side—reopens old wounds, and despite the bloody mess, the results might just give them all a chance to heal.

Recombinant DNA, gene splicing, artificial insemination seemed like the next logical step, after all Super Soldiers trained and indoctrinated from birth had to be better than taking a risk on someone potentially unworthy, potentially more trouble than they would be worth.
