Imagine a story where instead of running to Millport, Neil had run to the FBI to turn in his father which did not go well. After being placed in the Witness Protection Program, Neil has been placed at Palmetto State of all places. Now he has to navigate being in the same school as Kevin Day, which should be easy as he walked away from Exy as a child, lives off campus and works in a small coffee shop on the opposite end as the stadium. He can do this right?
Andrew is just trying to humour Nicky when he suggests going to coffee to check out the new hot Barista. He doesn’t expect it to be a life changing experience. Tension flares as soon as their eyes meet, and before long Andrew can’t stop thinking about him. Not used to these feelings Andrew gives in because he can’t stay away. It also seems like life is determined to keep throwing them together. Can Neil keep his secrets and more importantly can Andrew keep his heart?

Summary
Neil starts his freshman year of college at Palmetto State University and immediately falls in love when hockey star Kevin Day walks into the French 201 classroom. Standing in Neil’s way to doing anything about this all-consuming crush is Kevin’s best friend, teammate, and ex-boyfriend Andrew Minyard—who seems eager to antagonize Neil into embarrassing himself in front of Kevin at every turn.
Neil resolves to get his act together and ask Kevin out—only to be rejected and relegated to the friendzone. Neil’s roommates convince him not to give up, that there’s still hope. And that hope is a 5’0” blonde menace who happens to know more about Kevin than anyone else. You guessed it: Andrew. Knowing it may be his only shot at clawing his way out of friendship purgatory, Neil swallows his pride and asks Andrew for dating advice.
To Neil’s utter surprise, Andrew agrees. Easily. Even more surprising is the method Andrew suggests, guaranteeing it will get Neil a date with Kevin. Andrew will take Neil on “trial dates.” Neil is an athlete—he should know that practice makes perfect. But as Andrew helps Neil build the confidence to ask Kevin out again, Neil starts to feel conflicted about who his feelings are actually for.

Being a Parselmouth came with the inherent predisposition to understand snake behaviours and imitate them. It was relieving Harry wasn’t going to kill anyone with venom, nor petrify them with his gaze. But also, somewhat frustrating as it was all completely useless. None of the skills that came with being a Parselmouth would help Harry survive Voldemort.
It might, in fact, have the opposite effect. For all Riddle's fury that Harry was the cause of his elder self’s defeat, he was fascinated by the fact Harry was also a Parselmouth. He had grabbed Harry’s face, turning him side to side looking bemusedly enraptured by Harry’s threat display. “At your age, I was imitating much more vicious snakes than this, Harry.”
That may have been all well and good, but Harry didn’t feel very vicious. He felt very threatened and in over his head.

Sirius Black falls through the Veil, and Harry Potter manages to jump in after him.
Instead of dying, he ends up in the past, staring at a young Sirius. After a freakout and a complete mental breakdown, he concludes that he ended up in the past, in the era his parents were in Hogwarts, to be precise, and he has to figure out what the fuck he is supposed to do.
The fact that Voldemort isn’t quite as insane in this period doesn’t help him, especially when he keeps finding himself in the man’s presence time after time.
He can change his parents’ fate, he can keep the Marauders whole and happy, but his saviour complex won’t let him stop at that- Harry will save Voldemort along with them. Perhaps his unbearable attraction to the cruel man is the cause of that. The tantalising way Harry’s name rolls off those perfect lips may also have something to do with it.

Neil gets drugged at Eden's. Again. They get him back quickly, but the parallels fuck with everyone and reveal what happened with Nicky the first time around.
But Andrew remains flawed, so doesn’t know anything is happening until he hears Nicky gasp. Nicky makes a lot of unnecessary noises, so this one isn’t especially concerning—not until Nicky’s hand flashes out to grip Andrew’s arm and he says, “Andrew,” with such strained urgency that Andrew’s head erupts into a riot of alarms.
He follows Nicky’s pointed finger and sees, through the thick forest of bodies, Neil. With some guy. Kissing. He’s out of his stool almost before he can consciously register the scene, leaving the scarred black metal toppling to the ground behind him and shoving into the crowd. Something is very wrong. Neil had been too still. Too loose. An unstringed puppet. Andrew knows what Neil looks like when he wants to kiss someone, and that—that isn’t it.
