Summary
[Completed] It's hard to accept change as it happens, and Gon has seen a lot of it.
Heat advisories take over Gon's home, YorkNew City, as he and his friends arrive for another week in hell, or in other words... school. Things don't turn out the way they planned, though. Students have gone rabid, and the school becomes a warzone. It doesn't take long for Gon and his friends to find themselves trapped amongst other students, none of whom trust each other. One of those students happen to be a long lost friend of his, and Gon isn't quite sure if he'd rather fight off zombies or face his true feelings. And in a sense... Killua feels the same way.
Will they escape with their lives? That's the question isn't it.

"Are you okay?!"
The panic in Killua's words had been enough to trigger Gon's flight reflexes, but the sight of another infected student's eyes locking on Killua's neck and reeling back to pounce ensued Gon's fight reflex. He took the book from under Killua's arm and, as the monster lept at full speed, clocked him right in the head. The force was enough to send the monster to his back, and Gon decided he was taking no more chances.
He grabbed Killua's hand, and ran.

Gon is a serial romantic with an addiction to online dating. Killua is the barista stuck taking the orders of every date Gon Freecss reels in. It wouldn't be an issue if Gon wasn't such a hot topic—star running back for the Yorknew University football team as a freshmen, member of the most iconic fraternity at Yorknew, and general campus heartthrob.
When Gon convinces Killua to be his gym buddy, it sounds and feels like the friend zone. But who knew the #GymLife was so gay anyway? Certainly not Killua.

Leorio grabs a flute of champagne from the tray of a passing server, hardly giving it a glance before downing it in one gulp. Then he does it again, draining this glass even faster than the first. And again.
Liquid courage, he thinks grimly, don’t fail me now.
And then, right as the warmth of the alcohol starts spreading through his chest and pooling in his stomach, Leorio spots him.
He’s small and slight, neither too confident nor obviously uncomfortable. Almost entirely nondescript, just another young, wealthy donor at the gala, save for the traditional Kurta tabard he’s wearing. The looping gold pattern is unmistakable; after all, Leorio filed the report regarding its theft just two weeks ago.
So he was right; the famed Yorknew thief, the Scarlet Eye, made his appearance. And this gala must be his next target.
