You shall not age, nor bleed out as long as I allow it. The only thing you still keep from your time as my Vessel. No longer as you can see, is your life tied to your Cult, for it is no more.”
Aka, what if Narinder won but instead decided to keep the Lamb around as his eternal plaything, while the Lamb works to right her mistake in the backround by freeing the other Bishops and teaching Narinder a severe lesson in humility?
Buckle up cause I have no clue what I am doing.

A stare, as if they were looking straight into her soul, shimmering ruby red in the light. Weapon in their hand, the blade of their sword dripping with the blood of their previous foe. She hadn't expected them to extend a hand.
"Join me."
And then Jalala had fainted.

Summary
“Names have power,” the god examines them passively, the claw on his thumb playing idly with the bell on their collar. “Why do you believe it is that you cannot recall your own, vessel?”
The One Who Waits can feel ten different emotions crashing over them at once, and for a moment the careful construction of their features breaks under the weight of despair.
Interesting. It is knowledge the host of divinity should already be privy to, as an extension of his own will. The death of identity in service of a higher power is something few will ever have the privilege to experience, not even his past vessels were granted such a right.
Admittedly, none of his former vessels came to him in death. Sacrifices must be made, and made willingly, to build the trust and steadfast devotion needed for his ultimate freedom. The Chained God knows now he’s been too lenient, but such oversights will be corrected shortly.
This next part he wants to savor.

Summary
The Lamb has betrayed their patron God, an entity that gave them power and a chance at revenge. The sole person they truly adore. They betrayed him and left him as little more than a long-lived mortal, stuck in a cult that was meant his upon liberation. The two immortals have spent the last decade taking great efforts in avoiding each other. Narinder out of loathing and the Lamb out of crushing guilt, but the fallen God continues to wither despite their cult's best efforts. They had always intended to return the crown, but when no other option is left to prolong their time, they must restore his divinity and hope for his mercy.

For years they gave him their loyalty, their devotion. Everything he asked of them and more. So when he asked for their life it should have been simple.
It was not.

Leshy’s loud, sharp barking laugh broke through the quiet before Heket could respond, startling Narinder a bit before the furry worm cut himself off by stuffing another treat in his mouth. Heket hid a smile behind her hand. Narinder’s ear began to twitch several times, looking to Leshy who wouldn’t meet his gaze then slowly looked back at Heket with his eyes slowly narrowing. He was missing something, he was sure.

Summary
The Lamb is tasked with establishing a new Pantheon and reuniting the world under one Faith- that of the New Faith, of the one universal law of Death. Thankfully, they're not alone on their journey; their Bishops are behind them every step of the way.
Narinder is living in godless lands, and he will do whatever it takes to protect his home and his family from invading wannabe-gods produced by the fall of the Old Faith. Unfortunately for him, when his path crosses the Lamb and his siblings', this means helping the Lamb and the Bishops.
There's just a few problems; Narinder is godless and the Lamb is intent on bringing the godless lands into the New Faith.

Summary
Five siblings stand on a choice that will change the fate of the entire world. It all rides on the vote of the fifth.

One cannot be god of Death while being alive. Narinder's life is directly tied to the crown, and in sparing him the Lamb did not sever the contract. Without the crown his mortal body begins to fail, and whatever is left of his divinity struggles to keep up with repairing the damage. Narinder tries to hide this as long as he can, which isn't difficult when the Lamb avoids him just as much as he avoids them.
Then his siblings are brought in, one by one. Luckily for him, they are more interested in trying to make a new future than lingering on the past.
If only he had more time.

Summary
This is an alternate version of my prior work. I included a section that summarizes most of the Lamb's actions to this point in the story, so reading the prior work shouldn't be necessary.
Summary: The Lamb had fallen for their bloodthirsty god long ago. They had hoped to serve as his right hand when he was freed. When he betrayed them, they were left with no choice but to make him theirs. Now anyone who gets in the way will be eliminated. Meanwhile, Narinder only wants his siblings back.

Summary
The lamb left The One Who Waits... waiting.
When a defeated Narinder refuses to join the lamb's cult and become their follower, they leave him trapped in the indoctrination circle while they try to find a way to change his mind. Eventually though, the new god is forced to turn to less than moral means of ensuring the ex-deity's cooperation, with the conviction that they are doing the right thing to protect him from the dangerous world around them. Though this only serves to fuel Narinder's hatred for them and creating an air of tension and distrust between them as he continues to yearn for the freedom he has been waiting so long for.
At the same time, the lamb is changing, as their ideals of protecting all and never hurting anyone start slipping away as they feel like are forced into making immoral decisions for what they believe is the greater good. The lamb had never sacrificed a follower before, but there are doors that need opening, and a very hungry fox. How far will their newfound godly powers and responsibilities corrupt them? Can anyone stop them before they become just like those who they once sought to defeat?

Summary
Following a lethal duel in his prison, the God of Death was struck down by his traitorous vessel. With the fall of the last Bishop came the obsoletion of the Old Faith, leaving the new bearer of the red crown as the ultimate authority. Though The Lamb had amassed a loyal following, and more power than they could've ever dreamed of, they weren't quite content with how things had turned out. Thoughts of the chain-bound deity continued to linger long after their fateful encounter, prompting them to try and fix their mistake.
Many years later, an ancient soul takes his first mortal breath. Enraged by their audacity, the newly resurrected feline has no desire to live nor serve under his usurper. Unfortunately for Narinder, his new fate has already been written, and The Lamb has no plans of letting him go again.

Summary
The lamb did not bother fighting against their execution, they would be slain like the rest of their flock before them. Yet their peaceful demise was interrupted by a god that had other plans for them. They agreed to a deal, godly power for almost nothing in return, but of course there is always a catch with these bishops. Just a shame they could not escape the watchful eyes of the bishops even in death.
The lamb and Narinder's shared goal of revenge on the ones that have wronged them slowly grows into a hesitant fondness. The joining of their beings forcing them into a delicate friendship, and to their chagrin, some more intimate feelings that they are both doing their best to ignore. They are united only in vanquishing the bishops after all, and what happens after may not be conductive to kinship.
