Summary
MacCready has counted the stars in the sky, he’s counted the rocks in the old cave, he’s counted the cracks in the new one, and now he wants to count the scars on a woman who’s forgotten more sunrises than he’s even seen.
It’s a little like a pup standing up to a wolf, but if there’s one thing that MacCready knows, he’s damn good at the eyes—on the eyes. He’s damn good at sweet-taking—sweet-talking. He’s fine, he’s got this in the bag, totally capable.
He was so fucked.

so siathesquid on tumblr suggested an AU where all the characters have reverse morals, but instead of making something serious and grimdark, I made badboy!Deacon who still works for the Railroad, but is a total sleazy asshole about it. he has his own special method of welcoming new recruits ...

Charmer’s eyes snap over to the other agent, who gives them a cursory once over, scoffs, then busies themself with bracing their hands on Deacon’s chest to get better leverage as they ride him.
“Are you really offering to eat me out?” Charmer blurts.
Deacon snorts. “Well I’m damn sure not offering to meet your parents for Sunday brunch."

"What do you call the stick with the bowl on the end?" she asks, and Deacon raises an eyebrow.
"Uh, you lost me, Boss."
"The thing you eat with. Like a fork or a knife but for soup," Clara says, and she's making the motion as if she's eating cereal while she's speaking, as if using the muscles will help her remember if she ever knew it.
"A spoon?" Deacon says it almost as more of a question, like he's unsure if that's the answer or not.
Clara snaps her fingers and grins widely. "Yes! Spoon!"

the sole survivor's first language isn't english, and deacon's first language is bullshit, so together, they make a pretty terrible team.

"What’d you suppose the odds were of you taking down Skinny and his boys on your lonesome?” “Huh. Never thought to calculate. I have a gun and a mother’s determination. Some say that’s enough.” Nick smirked for the first time and she forgot, for a split second, that he was a robot." Some defining moments in Nick and Margot's friendship, turned partnership, turned romance.

Summary
"I...I can't believe it," she hid the shock in her voice and on her face as they stood in the room.
Her eyes were fixated on the blue crib in front of her. She never signed up for this; it was never part of the plan.
“I know!” the curled smile on his face was unsettling, the smile that was keeping a million secrets from her. “A baby, isn’t it great? Someone to carry on my legacy. He’s the luckiest boy in the world,” he sounded sickeningly happy, as if it was perfectly normal to have a baby thrusted into her arms.
"That he is," she smiled, the most fake sincere smile she could muster.
Nathaniel was always a little unhinged but this was madness.
She looked down at the tiny baby in her arms and tugged him closer to her chest.
Shaun. Said the embroidery on his blanket. Pre-named and pre-made.
She watched as his mouth opened just a tiny amount and he sighed out a silent yawn, his eyes opened for a split second and the sea of blue hit her. She had green eyes herself and she looked up to see Nathaniel’s hollow brown eyes look lovingly at her.
Where are your parents?

When Vault 111 opens and a very pissed off Anna Howard emerges, he drops everything to go stake her out. The ex-mercenary turned housewife seems to have a sixth sense for seeing through his disguises, and Deacon has plenty of secrets of his own, yet the two team up to get back her son. But will their partnership survive finding out Shaun wasn’t the Institute’s only project?

Working for the Railroad isn't all it's cracked up to be - especially when the Brotherhood's got a bounty on you and the Institute's got your number. Turner finds a friend in a disgruntled detective that might have taken on a case too big for his britches, and the two of them fall into a plot that might just be more than enough for the both of them.

Nora never minded she wasn’t Nate’s soulmate. Not that much, at least. It was just the way things happened. After all, he could still describe colors to her. She just couldn't see them.
Or, the soulmate AU where you can't see colors until you meet your soulmate (but in this version you keep them after they die) with Hancock and female sole survivor that no one asked for.

Summary
Whisper and Deacon make the best team - but he wasn't prepared for their chemistry to extend outside of the field. She's a killer, and he's a liar, both of the highest degree and both with enough issues to make a therapist's head spin. They are both stupid, stunted, stumbling, but... he thinks she's beautiful, and so strong, and she challenges him in ways that make him uncomfortable and exhilarated. He makes her smile even when the world is black and cold, makes her feel like her feet are on solid ground when everything else is up in the air (ironic, as stability isn't one of his strong points.) When Whisper first thawed out and left the Vault, it seemed like the entire world was gone to pieces - all she held dear was lost, all her existence burned to a husk. Strange, hostile, radation-ravaged, full of a rogues gallery of shadowy organizations and horrors of every kind. But the longer she spends in this strange new world, the more it seems... not all that bad. The people are trying, building, growing, in spite of everything. And just like wild hubflowers still spring up from the dead soil, even love will grow no matter how inhospitable the conditions, no matter how it may be neglected or stomped on - it will find a way.
