Summary
It's been six years since Adora's soulmark vanished from her skin. Six years since Catra broke up with her and her life came to a screeching halt. Stuck in the small mountain town of Brightmoon, she gets by in life with her friends she doesn't see as much as she'd like, hobbies that don't interest her as much as they used to, and an apartment haunted by the ghosts of her previous relationship. This is the life she chose, and she's too far in it to remake her decision.
That is until Catra breaks a promise and shows back up in Brightmoon one crisp January morning, Scorpia and a pair of skis in tow.

Adora is so soft and gentle, it's like a whole other person. But her eyes are warm, and her fingers devoted, touching Catra in ways so tender she might stop breathing.
She stops for a moment, looking hesitantly up at her. "Can you tell me what you want?"
Catra eyes her curiously. "Adora, you know what I like." It's an understatement—the blonde had delivered on fantasies she didn't even know she had.
She bites her lip. "No, I want you to tell me what you want."
The forceful way she says it makes Catra freeze to look her in the eyes. "Do you want me to...order you?" She clarifies.
Adora nods, her face shy. Catra chuckles as she puts her hands in Adora's hair. "You're going to give me what I want, aren't you Adora?" Catra's daring and she's never been afraid of Adora.

Catra laughs softly taking Adora's hand. "Come here." She places a hand on her midback, resting her arm across her waist while her other hand is raised high as she holds Adora's hand, forming a tight box shape. "Let me lead."
Adora can barely breathe but she nods anyway, trying to focus on Catra's face as she starts to move. "That's it 'Dor. Don't overthink it." She's flattered Catra assumes she still has the ability to have thoughts that aren't about Catra's hips and smile, the light in her eyes as she moves. "Is this okay?" Catra checks in as she tightens her hold on Adora.
"Yeah I'm having a good time," She assures.
Catra nods, seemingly relieved. "So, there are a few ways to dance bachata. We can dance like this or we can dance closer."
"What do you mean closer?" She's wrapped in Catra's arms and she can make out the freckles on the bridge of her nose. How much closer could someone get?
