Gwen smiled before pausing and slowing down a bit. “Dad seemed kinda irritated this morning, like, more than usual.” Her lip thinned a bit. She didn’t need to say more, they both knew what she was warning Finney about.
The older brother swallowed but tried not to let his nerves show on his face. “I’ll be fine.” He said, adjusting his bag strap again. He tried to smile more at Gwen’s nervous and disbelieving stare. “Really, don’t worry about it. I’ll just go to the neighbors if it gets to be too much.”
Albert Shaw had always opened his door to offer a safe place for Finney Blake, but the older man struggled with a rather inappropriate crush on the young teen. It certainly doesn't help the man's possessive desires when Robin Arellano decides to take an opportunity to act on his own crush for Finney.

He should’ve done something when he saw the water below him begin to move. When he saw the water begin to ripple, the pattern of its typical current breaking until something came out. Something, someone, Finney couldn’t see. But he didn’t need to see him to know him.
Finney had let him get away that night, crawl his freezing dead form away into the dark and snowy woods. He should’ve stopped him, should’ve kicked him back under the water or screamed for help. But he hadn’t and he had to live with that.
Ever since returning home from Camp Alpine Lake, Finney has been unable to shed burning ice that seems to have trapped itself beneath his skin. One night, when he's home alone, a certain ghost comes to offer some relief.
