"So then, my dear, what are we drinking to this time?" asked Aziraphale as he willed the champagne flute into his hand, smiling softly at the demon lounging in front of him.
Crowley was currently grinning warmly, clutching his glass in one hand and looking more devastatingly handsome than ever.
Crowley paused in thought for a moment and then chuckled, completely oblivious to Aziraphale's mental anguish.
"I dunno really. I mean personally, to not being dissolved in a bath of holy water, I suppose," said Crowley, grinning cheekily as Aziraphale rolled his eyes at him and let out a small huff of laughter.
"I did enjoy the Hellfire though. Great stuff, Hellfire. Really does leave you feeling invigorated."
Aziraphale shuddered at the thought and took another sip of his champagne.
"I really wouldn't know. I'll stick to holy water if it's all the same to you.

Summary
Aziraphale, the aforementioned angel in this equation, was currently many things, the first of which being well and truly drunk. The second of which being wholly, and with every fibre of his heavenly being, in love with Crowley despite not having realized it himself. Of course he loved Crowley, but it was the “in” part that he hadn’t quite gotten around to identifying yet.
After the near end of all things, Aziraphale and Crowley move forward together.
It just may take a bit more time, in addition to the 6,000 or so odd years between them.
