Summary
Jaskier has been hiding his draconic 'heritage' for as long as he could remember. And travelling with Geralt and Ciri, it didn't seem to be an issue. That is until a notice comes up about hunting dragons.
All of a sudden, everything is thrown into disarray as he has to face feelings and impulses he had been suppressing for years, nothing seems safe anymore. Geralt tries to fix it.
“No, we need to keep Ciri safe first I-.”
This whole interaction is too intense for him to even begin to comprehend. Fear grips him from all angles, practically strangling him as he just tries to breathe. And then of course there's Geralt being so soft with him, something he only did in small moments. It hurts seeing Geralt so scared for him.
“Geralt-”
“It’s okay. We’ll get you out of here. I won’t let them hurt you, I promise.”

Jaskier doesn’t actually know how much time has passed since the black-cloaked Nilfgaardians grab him after a performance in a shitty tavern in the backcountry of northern Kaedwen. He’d assumed--foolishly, apparently--that he was far enough north that any Nilfgaardian soldiers would be few and far between, likely just scouts or even deserters. It would have been hard to actually get any further north--the little backwater town where he’d been singing was just a day from the mountains. Anymore travel, and he’d find himself skirting the Trail up to Kaer Morhen, the Warlord’s Keep, and, well. He’s brazen, but not that brazen.
(or: a wandering bard bites off more than he can chew with the political ballads, accidentally makes friends with a princess in exile, and finds the Warlord of the North in his debt.)

Meanwhile, Zim is incredibly suspicious. Disturbed by the thought of the Dib swept away by someone else, he plots to eliminate the problem, if only he could figure out who that problem is.

Witnessing this, Yuuichirou has a necromantic meltdown that kills the remaining vampires and priests in the caravan…and revives Mikaela as a vampire. The two are taken in by Guren Ichinose, a necromancer who used to serve the Amane family as Yuuichirou's tutor, who has been in hiding with his partner, Shinya, since the fire incident. A necromancer creating a vampire is an unprecedented occurrence, and so the two are tasked with researching connections between vampires and necromancers and experimenting together to test the rules of this strange new magic.
TL;DR: blood drinking leads to magic bodily connection leads to incredibly intimate and orgasmic sexy times. Death boi and his vampire put the “romance” in “necromancer.”
