Chuuya has trouble falling asleep. Desperate, he makes a decision and summons the Dream Eater. What he doesn't know is that all magic has a price. Will he be willing to pay it?

Chuuya hesitated.
He leaned forward and clung to the neck of the Eater's yukata, who opened his eyes in surprise at his outburst. Chuuya searched his gaze for something, anything that might shed some light on this madness, but found nothing, or perhaps what he did find gave him courage. He stamped his mouth against Eater's cheek, cold to the touch, and Chuuya's heart skipped a beat.
The intruder took a breath.
"A kiss for one night," Chuuya repeated, using his words as a shield. They were very close, so close that Chuuya could feel the Eater's breath on his skin, if he breathed at all.
"A kiss for one night," the Eater hummed. "And I always keep my end of the bargain. Sweet dreams, Chibi."Or: Dream Eater!Dazai x Human!Chuuya, which nobody asked me for, but I have to write it anyway.

Summary
After a suicide attempt, Dazai is cast away to work at the lighthouse his great uncle had owned in the north of the mythical Shimane prefecture. He's not even in the town, he's three nautical miles away from the nearest port, always overlooking a populace that he supposes he can never be a part of.
Dazai finds that this esoteric ward he does not acknowledge offers more surprises than creeping loneliness. When the body of a man washes up on his beach, it seems that fortune has offered him a hand in repairing a piece of himself he has come to tolerate through the eyes of someone who has no idea what it means to be a human.

Summary
Best friends is too simple a term to squash the entire dynamic of Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya within.
Sure, they’ve known each other since they were children, and they’re each other’s #1 on their best friend lists on Snapchat, and Chuuya’s been seen one too many times in his hoodies. People have also noticed how Dazai’s main muse for his volunteer hobby of polaroid photographer is the redhead himself.
But the pranks they pull on each other isn’t much of a ‘best friend’ thing to do.
Especially when one of the pranks get pulled so far,
That Chuuya is forbidden from seeing Dazai ever again.
And though he sees no good coming from such a forced separation, the one thing that can enhance their futures together is propelled forward at a faster speed than either of them could have ever imagined:

Once again, Pinterest reccomendations have blessed me with world-changing fanfiction. I know this is well written because I've never been triggered before by a fic, but holy shit, this one got me. Much love to the author (lovvvee you fish!). This has definately made it high up there on my list. Like, "I Was Screaming Your Name Through the Radio" and "still, still, still" high. I highly reccomend listening to Clair de Lune on repeat at the last chapter, and I'll absolutely be rereading in like a year. <333
