“Oh, dearest, don’t you ever worry about me and my sentimentalities,” Aziraphale says softly, leaning in as if to thumb away the tear track, though he seems to freeze when he finally notices the hairline fissure on Crowley’s sunglasses.
“Crowley,” he says at length, gone dangerously serious and quiet, and in the same moment Crowley can feel his last finger clinging to the edge of the glamour, sensing the open abyss with its gaping maw waiting below him. “What did they do?”
“Nothing,” he lies through his teeth, trembling with the effort to stay upright, to even utter the next three words that rattle in his throat. “Nothing at all.”

Summary

Every young woman knows that a flawless debut in society will surely lead to a successful match. Luckily, Aziraphale is one of the best at what she does.
Finding a match for Crowley should not pose a challenge either. She is stunning and smart, willful, in the most delightful of ways. She deserves the best, and Aziraphale is more than happy to provide. Find a suitor who will do so is, of course, what she meant.
