The wheel in case has turned upon Tatianna, whose grief-fueled mistakes landed her in prison in her mid-twenties, and where she stayed until said prison started to flood. A mysterious force saved her from certain death, but not out of pity; as the one Akatosh bestowed with the dragon blood, the ability to shout like dragons, it is her fate to stop Alduin from swallowing the world. When it is time, and she is ready, Tatianna climbs the seven thousand steps to answer the summons of the Greybeards, masters of the Voice.But, the summons of the elderly monks didn't just reach the Last Dragonborn's ears.
In long-gone times, when Dragons ruled over men, a priest in their order attempted to overthrow them. A man of great ambition, dragon soul in a mortal body, delved into dark and forbidden powers to bring his masters down, and the Dragons sought to destroy him for it. His name was lost in History, and so was his nature as the First Dragonborn.
Stuck in a timeless dimension, he manages to whisper his name back into people's minds - "Miraak". The world shall remember his might... and then, he hears the words.
