So, naturally, Klaus and Diego join him."Holy shit, Five," Diego says, rushing forward. "What the hell happened to you?"
Five is off-balanced by the sight of Diego. Shouldn’t he be at the other address? What is he doing here?
Klaus appears on the other side of Diego and lets out a laugh that sounds almost frantic. "Oh, thank God you can see him, too.”

Reginald's got a world, an iron grip on the rules, and even his own militia masquerading as a police force. All Five's got is a freshly broken leg courtesy of said psychos, a missing scattered family, an increasingly waning grip on his own sanity the longer he's stuck here dealing with this inane timeline, and a growing plethora of people who seem to want to kidnap him.
Fantastic.
If even one of his siblings were with him, Five would count himself lucky, because after clawing his way towards survival for so long he's losing the strength to fight this battle all alone.
He doesn't know his scattered family are for once just as worried about him as he's always been about them.

March 24th, 2019. After the death of their father, the Hargreeves siblings gather at their old family home for a funeral. When things get off to a rough start with thinly-veiled accusations of patricide and old resentments bubbling up to the surface, the siblings split to different corners of the house to cool off separately. And somehow, in the middle of the impromptu dance party that follows, Klaus and Ben are the only ones to notice their long-lost brother has just appeared outside in the courtyard after a seventeen-year absence.

Canon divergent AU that covers Season 1 on the premise that Five's return does not go as anticipated, and in order to prevent the coming apocalypse he must rely on Ben, who is determined to help even if he is just as helpless as Five, and Klaus, who is somehow less useful even though he can actually interact with the world.
