Heart thundering in his ears, Ichigo stared at his own hand on the door handle. Was there really -- no. A hallucination. Maybe Gamuza had kicked a piece of rebar in his direction on accident and now he was in a coma or something. They were rushing him to the hospital right now. Desperate to save him before his brains leaked all the way out. Yeah, that sounded better.
He pushed his door open again, just a crack.
"You close that in my face again and we're gonna have a problem," notorious supervillain Pantera mused, propped up on one elbow on Ichigo's bed.

He didn’t even know the Doctor could tolerate romantic music, much less dance to it. There he is, though, swaying cheek-to-cheek with the blonde woman.

That soft, soothing voice in his memory now grated harshly on his ears. He used to look up at the man, pouring his affection and devotion through the sweetest smile he could muster and the man would smile back at him and make his stomach flutter. Those devastatingly beautiful blue eyes and the long, golden hair used to belong to the one he had trusted the most, the one he had given all of himself to, the one he had thought he loved. But now… now that hauntingly beautiful face belonged to a monster.
