Summary
The series is basically Troy gets confused and proposes that him and Abed get married. Since this is set in a (alternative) late season 3 it's early 2012 which mean Same sex marriage isn't legal in Colorado, so they get a designated beneficiary agreement however they class themselves as getting actually married - they aren't in romantic relationship when this plan is created.
It's a series that stems from Alternative Marriage For Best Friends with parts 2-5 happening while part 1 takes place. Advanced (Best) Friends with Benefits is set after part 1.

Okay so the series is made up of one shot type things that are all in the same universe and as a result have different storylines/growing characterisation as they go on.
It's set in 2019/2020/2021 however no real life events - actually just Covid doesn't really exist.
Also I have never been to American and I'm very Scottish so any references to exams/universities/school year and class work is based on my experiences and will be different from a what a preppy all boys boarding school in New England would be.
Oh I'll add this here. The timeline is changed form the get go as in Neil tries - doesn't succeed - committing suicide the year before he meets Todd. Which in this au would be Dec 2019 with Todd going Welton in Sep 2020. I'll end up adding other dates here as they help me keep check in all of this. Also Keating joins Welton in Sep 2019.

Summary
Mel returns to the pitt two weeks after Frank took her home because she fell on her face, and oh boy, her shift's one for the books. Between everyone being weird, Trinity cornering her in mostly empty rooms, an old date appearing, Frank getting smacked in the face, and Bonnie Tyler echoing through the hospital, Mel doesn't know how she survives. But hey, at the end of the day, she may just end up with a boyfriend.
Or; a day of pitt crew shenanigans that ends up with Mel and Frank finally getting their shit together.
