Mel returns to the pitt two weeks after Frank took her home because she fell on her face, and oh boy, her shift's one for the books. Between everyone being weird, Trinity cornering her in mostly empty rooms, an old date appearing, Frank getting smacked in the face, and Bonnie Tyler echoing through the hospital, Mel doesn't know how she survives. But hey, at the end of the day, she may just end up with a boyfriend.

The words were so alien to him that he honestly couldn’t respond for a second, just kept staring at Carisi’s happy face and at the stitches in his head while he saw flashes of blood on the car window. He couldn’t imagine his expression but knew it was something less than comforting as he watched Carisi’s face fall, his eyebrows draw together.
“What?” Carisi asked finally, eyes flitting to the nurse still hovering in the corner of the room. “What’s the matter?”

Casey was two beers in and feeling good. Dana was talking about the Eastern conference finals, because she had never been able to let go of anything in her life, punctuating her points with aggressive jabs of French fries.
“Anyway,” she said, popping a fry into her mouth, “that’s what I said to Dan about it.”
“I’m sure he listened attentively.” Casey tried to hide the smile that was struggling through.
“He’s a good kid.” She took a drink of her soda. “Gets along with everybody. Kind of flighty, though.”
