Summary

The press of their scent glands sends a jolt from his neck prickling through the rest of his body. The feeling fills him to the brim, then it engulfs him: an empty pit, gnawing away from the inside out. It burns hot and sears through his nerves, and for a moment all he sees is red. Saliva floods behind his fangs, and his skin buzzes where they’re connected.
Katsuki is tired of pretending he doesn’t smell the odd twist in Izuku’s scent. Harbored secrets lead to whims that go against everything they’ve done to stay friends despite expectations, and whims lead to new promises.

The blanket has slipped down to Izuku’s waist, revealing the worn All Might T-shirt he refuses to throw away even though the hem is frayed and the neckline stretches loose, and Katsuki’s fingers itch to trace the constellation of freckles across Izuku’s collarbone, to map every star he’s memorized in the dark, but he doesn’t move yet; he just drinks in the sight like a starved, starved man, like it’s the first time all over again, because every morning it is the first time, every morning Izuku is the softest, warmest miracle Katsuki has ever been allowed to keep.

Warm fingers trailed his collar, then up his neck to his hair. “Your hair’s wet.” Then, Bakugou gasped. “You idiot. You actual idiot. Holy shit. We have to get you warmed up.”
Bakugou pulled Deku into his bed with a bit of urgency, pulling the covers over him. Yanking his shirt off, he then snatched Deku to his bare chest, and Deku really liked where things were headed.
“C’mon, you’re fine.” His chest vibrated as he spoke. His hands ran all over Deku’s body, hastily slipping under his sweater to try and warm up his skin. “Why’re you breathing like that?”
“Like what?” It kind of felt like there were bees buzzing in his chest. Wouldn’t that be funny?
“You’re scaring me.”
Huh, that was different. Bakugou didn’t get scared, and if he did, he never said it. Why was Deku scaring him? He didn’t want to upset him.
