“Are you hurt?” he whispered, breath caught in his lungs as the creature's lips curled.
“Your hand trembles."
Kabru offered a feeble smile. “So it does."

After preventing his own engagement party, Kabru is sent away by Milsiril to a secluded manor in the country, where he is meant to reflect on his defiance and, in time, resign himself to marriage. However, Bramblethorn does not rest quietly, and Kabru is not the only soul trapped there.

A kid from this part of the city, of their city dying is not that uncommon, sadly, and even Silco had heard about Violet’s group's escapades—everyone lived as well as they could, so he could not blame them. But it happening in such a notorious way, and her not being an ordinary kid, combined with the fact that it had happened in Piltover had moved the whole under city into saying an unofficial goodbye. To the idea, of course, because nothing had been recovered of the teenager, as far as Silco knows, and he knows a lot.

Vander was an asshole, he decided. Not just for the attempted murder, although that was a very significant factor. No, it was for writing this stupid, shitty apology note, and leaving it here. In their old bunker, in a bloodied, bruised palace of sentiment where Silco would once have given his life for the inhabitants.
Now, the inhabitants were trying to take it.
Where Vander's jacket hung, Silco's own inside it, and wasn't that a hell of a metaphor? Where Silco's work lay spread across the desk (where even a week ago, much more would have been there). Where that cup, that meant nothing to anyone but the trio, sat taunting him.
Yeah, Vander was an asshole for leaving it here. Because for some reason, somehow, it made Silco want to go back to him.
AU where Silco finds Vander's letter. Silco is understandably bitter and also wallowing in self pity. Honestly I can't blame him.
