And I think that's beautiful.

Summary
All this time, all these years, Jon had assumed that Tim and Sasha were his friends. They were the only people he knew had his back, that would be there when he needed them. He trusted them. And all this time, he’d been nothing but a joke to them. They obviously didn’t see him in the same way he saw them, and the worst part was that he got it. Obviously beautiful, brilliant Tim and Sasha weren’t his friends, who would want to be friends with Jon Sims, the biggest jerk at the Magnus Institute save Elias himself?

Dear Jon,

It feels ridiculous to hurt for someone who’s not real.
Here I am, though. A lonely, pathetic, thirty-one year old bloke who works in a school library and writes shitty poetry and doesn’t have any friends, crying and writing a letter to another bloke who doesn’t even exist.

Or, Martin Blackwood has led a perfectly normal, mostly blameless life for thirty-one years. Right up until the morning he wakes up with memories he didn’t have yesterday and some bloke called Jon living rent-free in his head.

Summary
Do you like lonelyeyes? Do you like parental lonelyeyes?! Then this is the place for you. In this story we have two single dads figuring shit out and falling in love while looking after their cute kiddos while their families and friends have to see them pine for each other.
Later during the day, when he is about to park home after picking up the kids, he sees a moving truck at the house next to theirs. Jon and Tim instantly stick their chocolate covered faces to the window, curious little things, to watch.
Peter stares a little too, but ultimately he makes them go inside. Better to let whoever is moving in their own space and not hover like a weirdo. Their last neighbour was not very happy with his kids' tendencies to watch people and cause trouble. But to be fair to them, even Peter thought that Jurgen was an annoying prick.Chapter 9 on wednesday and chapter 10 on friday so we can close off the year with a bang

Jonah Magnus had never given much thought to the notion of his soulmate. He was far more a pragmatist than a romantic, and while he knew it was something that existed in the world, it was never something he’d put much thought into outside of an intellectual curiosity. That being said, it wasn’t possible to fully ignore the black letters inked along the inside of his wrist. The handwriting is small, and a bit messy, the letters more separated than Jonah has seen before. Inelegant.

When Jon saw Martin holding the Leitner, he spent a moment paralyzed with terror. Martin may not be good at his job, but no one deserves the havoc that reading a Leitner can wreak.
Before Jon could reach him, though, Martin had fainted. Falling roughly to the ground, unmoving.

“You’re it for me,” Jon said, smile relaxing into the gentle expression Martin loved best.
Martin really wished it were that easy, that simple.
He wished he lived in a world in which he’d met Jon first instead of Jonny. Where there was nothing lingering in the shadows of their pasts reminding them that there would always be something missing, even if they both chose to believe otherwise.
A world in which he wouldn’t need to choose between reality and ghosts.
.If the universe were kind, Martin's soulmate timer would have stopped the first time he touched Jonathan Sims, those ever-changing numbers fading into pale remnants on his skin, the search finally over.
But his timer was already long dead, lost to a man whose skin had been smudged with lightning bolts and the silver glow of starlight.

Judge Roberta Field eyed the next case on the docket balefully. She’d known it was coming. As soon as she’d seen it appear in her schedule she’d cursed and debated “breaking a leg”, since it had been too late to have another baby as a way out. She’d convinced herself that was too extreme, however, and lulled herself into a false sense of security that she must be misremembering and it wouldn’t be that bad. So she’d decided to keep working and let it happen. And now it was here.
The Bouchard-Lukas divorce.
Again.
It had been three years since the last one, which had to be a new record.

Elias and Peter are divorcing again. In trying to decide the division of their marital property, they need some witnesses to assist their respective cases. This is unfortunate for Jon and Martin, who would really rather be elsewhere.
